Description

This quick and easy tiramisu in a mug brings authentic Italian flavors to your table in just 5 minutes. Perfect for busy home cooks who crave a delicious dessert without the wait. Emma’s foolproof recipe layers coffee-soaked ladyfingers with creamy mascarpone for an individual serving of pure indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

23 ladyfinger cookies

2 tablespoons mascarpone cheese, room temperature

12 tablespoons strong brewed coffee, cooled

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 tablespoon cocoa powder for dusting

Optional: 1 teaspoon Kahlúa or Baileys Irish Cream

Optional: chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

1. Brew strong coffee and let it cool slightly. Add sugar and optional liqueur, stirring until dissolved.

2. In a small bowl, gently mix mascarpone cheese until smooth and creamy.

3. Quickly dip one ladyfinger cookie into the coffee mixture for 1-2 seconds per side. Place at the bottom of your mug.

4. Add half of the mascarpone mixture over the soaked ladyfinger, spreading gently.

5. Repeat with another coffee-dipped ladyfinger and remaining mascarpone.

6. Top with final ladyfinger piece if using 3 cookies, then dust generously with cocoa powder.

7. Optionally garnish with chocolate shavings for extra indulgence.

8. Serve immediately or chill for 10 minutes for firmer texture.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature mascarpone cheese for easier mixing.

Don’t over-soak the ladyfingers – they should absorb coffee flavor without becoming mushy.

This recipe works great with decaf coffee for evening treats.

Can be made up to 2 hours ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator.

For a mocha variation, add 1 teaspoon of chocolate syrup to the coffee mixture.
