Ingredients
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 large egg
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Spray a microwave-safe mug with cooking spray or lightly butter
2. Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in the mug
3. Add egg, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined
4. Press chocolate chips into center of batter, ensuring they’re covered
5. Microwave for 90 seconds at 80% power, checking at 75 seconds
6. Let rest for 30 seconds before serving. Serve immediately with ice cream if desired
