Description
Quick and easy pizza in a mug recipe that cooks in just 90 seconds in the microwave. Perfect for busy schedules, late-night cravings, or when you want fresh pizza without the wait. Uses simple pantry ingredients to create a satisfying individual pizza with fluffy dough and melted cheese.
Ingredients
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
3 tablespoons milk (any type)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1–2 tablespoons pizza sauce
2 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese
Optional toppings: pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, olives
Instructions
1. In a microwave-safe mug (at least 12 oz), combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well with a fork.
2. Add milk and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until smooth dough forms with no dry flour remaining.
3. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving small border around edges.
4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over sauce, then add any additional toppings.
5. Microwave on high power for 60-90 seconds, depending on microwave wattage. Dough should be set and cheese melted.
6. Let cool for 30 seconds before eating. Cheese will be very hot!
Notes
Cooking time varies by microwave wattage: 700-800W use 90 seconds, 900-1000W use 70-80 seconds.
Use wide, shallow mugs for more even cooking than tall narrow ones.
Don’t overfill – dough will rise during cooking.
For lower carb version, substitute almond flour (use 3 tablespoons instead of 4).
Leftover pizza sauce can be frozen in ice cube trays for future single servings.
