Ingredients
1–2 apples, diced
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup milk (or milk alternative)
1 large egg
1 teaspoon butter or margarine, melted
Pinch of baking powder
Instructions
1. Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, and baking powder in a small bowl until well combined
2. Microwave diced apple for 30 seconds until slightly softened
3. In a microwave-safe mug, combine the microwaved apple, milk, and melted butter, stirring until incorporated
4. Add the dry ingredient mixture on top, spreading evenly
5. Microwave for 1-2 minutes until cooked through and toothpick comes out clean
6. Top with whipped cream or additional cinnamon if desired and enjoy immediately
