Description

A quick and creamy mac and cheese in a mug recipe made entirely in the microwave. Perfect for busy nights or fast lunches!

Ingredients

Scale

⅓ cup (28g) elbow pasta

¾ cup (175ml) cold water

4 tablespoons milk

½ teaspoon cornstarch

4 tablespoons cheddar cheese, shredded

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Add pasta and water to a large microwave-safe mug.

2. Microwave for 3½–4 minutes until pasta is fully cooked.

3. Drain any remaining water.

4. Add milk, cornstarch, and shredded cheese to mug.

5. Microwave for another 60 seconds.

6. Stir well, season with salt and pepper, and enjoy.

Notes

Use a large mug (14 oz+) to avoid overflow.

Stir midway while cooking the pasta.

Add-ins like cooked bacon or peas make it a full meal.
