These Loaded Bacon Mac Cheeseburger Stuffed Onion Bombs are a delicious twist on classic comfort food, combining the flavors of a cheeseburger with creamy mac and cheese, all wrapped in a savory onion shell.
Ingredients
4 large onions
2 cups cooked macaroni
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 pound ground beef, cooked and seasoned
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Cut the tops off the onions and scoop out the insides.
3. In a bowl, mix the macaroni, cheddar cheese, bacon, ground beef, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper.
4. Stuff the onion shells with the mixture.
5. Roll the stuffed onions in breadcrumbs and place them in a baking dish.
6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the onions are tender and the tops are golden brown.
Notes
For extra flavor, add some diced pickles to the filling.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce for an added kick.
