These Garlic Butter Bacon Mac Cheeseburger Onion Bombs are a delicious twist on classic comfort food, combining the flavors of a cheeseburger with the gooey goodness of mac and cheese, all wrapped in a savory onion shell.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 cup macaroni
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 large onions
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
4 tablespoons garlic butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and mix with cheddar cheese.
3. Slice the tops off the onions and scoop out the insides to create bowls.
4. In a bowl, mix ground beef, cooked macaroni, crumbled bacon, garlic butter, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
5. Stuff the onion bowls with the beef and macaroni mixture.
6. Place the stuffed onions on a baking sheet and cover with foil.
7. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the onions are tender and the tops are golden.
Notes
For extra flavor, add your favorite seasonings to the beef mixture.
