Ingredients
1 slice day-old bread, cubed
1 egg
3 tbsp milk
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of cinnamon
1 tsp maple syrup or sugar (optional)
Instructions
1. Spray or lightly grease a microwave-safe mug.
2. Whisk egg, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and sweetener directly in the mug or small bowl.
3. Add cubed bread and stir to coat evenly.
4. Let soak 30 seconds to absorb.
5. Microwave for 60–90 seconds until set but soft.
6. Top with syrup, powdered sugar, or fruit and serve immediately.
Notes
Use a wide mug for even cooking.
Avoid overcooking—start with 60 seconds and increase in 10s.
Add berries or chocolate chips for flavor.
