Description

This cookie mug recipe makes a gooey, warm chocolate chip cookie in just one minute using simple pantry ingredients and a microwave.

Ingredients

Scale

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

4 teaspoons packed light brown sugar

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

1 egg yolk

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Place butter in a mug and microwave for 30 seconds.

2. Stir in brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla, and salt.

3. Add egg yolk and stir until smooth.

4. Add flour and most of the chocolate chips. Stir to combine.

5. Sprinkle remaining chips on top.

6. Microwave for 45–60 seconds until dough is puffed and top looks dry.

7. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use a wide, microwave-safe ceramic mug for best results.

Don’t overcook—start at 45 seconds and increase only if needed.

Top with ice cream, whipped cream, or drizzle caramel on top.

Store chocolate chips in the freezer to keep them fresh for mug desserts.
