This churro mug cake brings all the warm, cinnamon-sugar magic of traditional churros straight to your microwave in just 5 minutes!
Ingredients
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
For topping:
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon melted butter
Instructions
1. In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
2. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.
3. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
4. Microwave on high for 60-90 seconds, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
5. Mix topping ingredients in a small bowl.
6. Brush top of warm cake with melted butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
7. Serve immediately while warm for the best churro experience.
Notes
Start with 60 seconds cooking time and add more if needed
Use a 12-16 ounce microwave-safe mug for best results
Cake should spring back lightly when done
