A quick and easy breakfast quiche made right in your mug! Perfect for busy mornings when you need a protein-packed meal in just 2 minutes. Customizable with your favorite vegetables and cheese.
Ingredients
1 large egg
1 tablespoon milk (any type)
2 tablespoons shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
1–2 tablespoons diced vegetables (bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms)
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: 1 tablespoon cooked bacon or sausage
Optional: fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
1. Spray or lightly grease a large microwave-safe mug (at least 12 oz)
2. Crack the egg into the mug and add milk
3. Whisk the egg and milk together until well combined
4. Add shredded cheese, diced vegetables, salt, pepper, and any optional ingredients
5. Stir gently to combine all ingredients
6. Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, checking every 30 seconds
7. Cook until eggs are set but still slightly moist in the center
8. Let cool for 30 seconds before eating
9. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and enjoy directly from the mug
Notes
Use a large mug to prevent overflow during cooking
Cooking time may vary based on microwave power – start with 1 minute for lower wattage
Don’t overfill the mug – leave room for the egg to expand
