Ingredients
1/2 apple, finely chopped
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp melted butter (or neutral oil)
3 tbsp milk
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
4 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking powder

Instructions
1. In a microwave-safe mug, mix chopped apples with 1 tbsp brown sugar and cinnamon.
2. Microwave apples for 30 seconds to soften slightly.
3. Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla to the mug. Stir to combine.
4. Add flour, remaining brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix just until combined.
5. Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds until the top looks set but soft.
6. Let rest 1 minute before serving. Optional: top with vanilla ice cream or caramel drizzle.
