Description

Warm, cozy, and full of cinnamon-spiced apple goodness, this Apple Pie Mug Cake is the ultimate 5-minute dessert for busy days.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 apple, finely chopped

2 tbsp brown sugar

1/4 tsp cinnamon

2 tbsp melted butter (or neutral oil)

3 tbsp milk

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

4 tbsp all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp baking powder

Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. In a microwave-safe mug, mix chopped apples with 1 tbsp brown sugar and cinnamon.

2. Microwave apples for 30 seconds to soften slightly.

3. Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla to the mug. Stir to combine.

4. Add flour, remaining brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix just until combined.

5. Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds until the top looks set but soft.

6. Let rest 1 minute before serving. Optional: top with vanilla ice cream or caramel drizzle.

Notes

Use apples like Gala, Fuji, or Granny Smith for best results.

Don’t overmix the batter—just stir until combined.

Letting the mug cake rest after microwaving keeps it moist.

Add nuts, oats, or raisins for texture and variety.
